Description

Limited version on crystal clear vinyl in printed innersleeve. Belgian instrumentalists Glass Museum have found the perfect balance between piano and drums. Where jazz and electronics collide, uniting the surgical precision of the best contemporary jazz, à la Gogo Penguin and Badbadnotgood, with the electronic influences of Jon Hopkins or Floating Points.

Two years after the release of their album “Reykjavik” – inspired by Iceland’s landscapes – Belgian Electronic Jazz duo Glass Museum comes back to the stage with a new single “Reflet”: an art piece inspired by another kind of travel, more personal and introspective.

In these troubled times, with the writing being guided by the two musicians’ interior travels, “Reflet” brings a new duality for the band, between reality, the wake of experiences and evasion through imagination.

That match between reality and dream is at the core of that dreamlike experience which witnesses a dialogue between the organic instrumentals and electronic beats. The piano brings forth Eastern sounds which progressively tell a languishing tale whilst electronic flows underline a sense of urgency, that of time passing by in a somewhat worrying way.
