A standout cut from Apparat's majestic new album, backed with an outstanding Mogwai remix and a slithering, percussive overhaul by Park Frequency. One for the lovers, 'Song Of Los' features Sascha Ring crooning to the stars over beautifully euphoric, creamy Techno-Pop synths and heart-pulsing bass with measured glimmers of New Order-esque guitar. Flipside, Mogwai give a big nod to Salem and the kind of epic pop substance coming from the Tri Angle camp right now, slowing the whole thing to a quasi-speed drag with druggy dubstep bass licks blanketed by twinkling starburst synths. Park Frequency aka Apparat's percussive accomplice Jörg Wähner gives a more dynamic overhaul with sliding rhythm syncopations and rich cello strokes.
