Saudade (Portuguese for “Longing”) is the seventh studio album by Washington DC electronica duo Thievery Corporation originally released in 2014 via their Eighteenth Street Lounge Music label.

This is the first album completely dedicated to their Bossa Nova roots, with influences from classic Brazilian artists such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gal Costa and Luis Bonfa. Each song on Saudade is sung by one of five singers (including LouLou Ghelichkhani, Elin Melgarejo, Nouvelle Vague singer Karina Zeviani, Argentinian chanteuse Natalia Clavier and former Bitter:Sweet singer/songwriter Shana Halligan.

Eric Hilton, the band’s co-founder, called Saudade his favorite Thievery album, saying “it’s one of the more unusual records by an electronic music artist. I don’t think any other electronic music artist would make a record like that one.”
