The Beta Band’s eponymous debut LP will turn twenty in 2019 and thus will be reissued as an anniversary edition.

Though it wasn’t to everyone’s taste at the time it came out (including the band themselves), when heard now The Beta Band sounds ahead of the curve. The way these tracks run roughshod over the constraints of genre is sometimes good, sometimes less so, but certainly never dull. Its closest relatives are albums like Beck’s Odelay and The Avalanches' Since I Left You.
