For years, Joost has been getting requests from fans for a career overview with his greatest hits from his rich oeuvre. The answer to that question was always as short as it was clear: no. After all, looking backwards is not an option in the world of Novastar. "Be great or be gone" is the slogan that has hung over his piano for many years.

It was Mikey Rowe & Andrew Britton who convinced him to do it. 'Mike & Andy' gave Joost the perspective to simply record his greatest songs all over again. In the way they should sound in 2024. Fresh, young and timeless - the way every Novastar song is written. It became a rollercoaster. Both musically and emotionally.

A top-notch team of musicians was assembled with pianist Mikey Rowe (Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds), guitarist Andy Britton (Top Gear soundtracks), guitarist Skin Tyson (Robert Plant), drummer Keith Prior (David Gray) & bassist Erik Rademakers (Selah Sue).

Joost made his childhood dream come true with this album. He dove into the famous "Studio 2" of the Abbey Road Studios in the exact same place where his great heroes The Beatles recorded their greatest successes. Novastar at Abbey Road. Coming full circle.
